DESCRIPTION:
  • Administer the awards for prizes for the Contra Costa County Fair which include:
    1. Ensure the budget reflects the prize category and the prize amounts each year
    2. Get any prizes from Toll Bridge Tolers to the fairgrounds
  • Be sure that those demonstrating have their parking and entry passes so they don't have to pay the required fees
  • Encourage the membership to enter - NAG!
  • Set up time schedule for those who would like to help demonstrate
  • Submit Newsletter articles for each newsletter

OUTPUTS FROM POSITION:
    Prepare newsletter articles as needed

COMMITMENT:
  • Attend chapter meetings - 3 hours per month
  • Attend board meetings as appropriate - 3 hours per month
  • Coordinate fair work schedule - 2 hours in July
  • Attend fair - 5 hours a day for as many days as scheduled
  • Distribute fair awards
  • Get entry and parking passes for the fair - 30 minutes in May

RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Work with the board to develop chapter goals for the year
  • Interact with the membership to encourage fair participation
  • Display a love and appreciation of decorative art
  • Work with other board members at meetings and chapter activities
